Augo's camp promises "Mageuzi"


Chairperson hopeful Augo officially launched his campaign in T1in the science block building. Flanked by contestants of various posts in the upcoming election Augo was upbeat that his alliance would win the election. In his address  attended by a big number of students ,Augo assured students that he will ensure that both their students and constitutional rights are respected . He even questioned why students had to ask permission for them to meet when the national constitution protected right of association and assembly.

" It is only in Chuka university where you have to ask for permission to even call for a meeting like this and stating clearly what you are going to discuss," he stated

Augo promised to immediately call for the annual general meeting he is voted in. He said that although the students constitution stipulated that the  CUSA AGM must be held at least once it had never been the case in the previous regimes. Augo also promised to make sure the mess is efficient. He said the mess should not be a profit making venture but instead it should help students better their future lives . 

"What is the logic in selling 3 pieces of bread at 10 shillings in the mess," Augo questioned

On the issue of long holiday Augo stated that while his opponents had shied away from the subject he was not a coward to  keep quiet from the same.Augo stated that students had to make plans and therefore they had to be informed about the issue of long holiday. Augo argued why students were made to take long in their studies while in other universities it took them a record of 18 months.

He told the crowd that he will to fast track access to transcripts. He said he was going to make sure that an academic calendar was in place. He said students needed to know when to report, sit for CATS and  exams.

In the over 30 minutes delivery Augo assured the students that he will deliver all he promised in his manifesto. Mr Augo also took  to introduce candidates in the Mageuzi pap! alliance. Some of the candidates in the faction include Gideon Osamong , Mildred Atieno , Joash Meraba, Kamau Richard, Patrick Wanjala, Peter Mburu, Elvis Kipkoskey and Rosemary Wairimu.
